After WWII, world-renowned psychiatrist and Holocaust survivor Viktor Frankl was astounded that many of his patients, himself included, thrived in all aspects of life despite the horrors of war. Through insightful study, he was able to attribute their resilience to their ability to find a purpose. As Frankl explained, “Life can be pulled by goals as surely as it can be pushed by drives.” Life and the business world can be unkind, but those who show the drive to fight adversity and reach their goals deserve to be honored.
